On the generalized notion of amenable locally compact groups

Abstract

‎In this note‎, ‎we study some spaces associated with a locally compact group such that it has a positive action on the predual of a W$^*$-algebra‎. ‎We investigate the existence of invariant means on these spaces‎ ‎and present several characterizations when the group acts amenably on the predual of a W$^*$-algebra‎.
